We are actively seeking experienced caregivers to assist our clients with activities of daily living. It could be for individuals returning home from a hospital stay due to illness or injury or clients who need some assistance at home to maintain their independence. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Compensation: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour, based on experience and the individual client assignment

Responsibilities

Provide assistance to adult clients who are elderly, recovering from surgery, have been injured, or recently hospitalized by attending to their basic needs. Tasks may include:

  • Overseeing client safety
  • Managing emergencies that may arise
  • Assisting with bathing, dressing and personal hygiene
  • Reminding client of medication schedule
  • Assisting with mobility around the house or outside (appointments, walks, etc.)
  • Performing light housekeeping duties
  • Planning and preparing meals and feeding if needed
  • Completing client’s shopping or accompanying them to the store

Qualifications

  • Previous caregiving experience is required
  • Must meet criteria for satisfactory criminal background check, drug and DMV screening.
  • Must have current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Must have negative results of a TB test (within past 12 months for skin testing or within 5 years for chest x-ray testing)

  • Unencumbered RN license in the state of Georgia (required)

  • Current driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel in performing job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform initial and ongoing clinical assessments of clients in their place of residence and draft a plan of care
  • Interact with client families and others on the Kadan team to ensure a well-orchestrated, multidisciplinary approach to client needs and desires
  • Lead classroom training for field staff
  • Ensure ongoing appraisal of client needs to determine appropriate care and service
  • Ensure compliance with State regulatory requirements for the homecare agency
